A Fedex Federal Express Airbus A300-600, registration N690FE performing flight FX-624 from Boise,ID to Memphis,TN (USA), was climbing out of Boise and was handed off to Salt Lake Center, when the crew returned onto the frequency of Boise reporting they were unable to contact Salt Lake Center. Communication in both directions between aircraft and Boise were loud and clear, the crew however suspected they had a problem with the radios and decided to return to Boise. The aircraft landed safely back in Boise about 25 minutes after departure.

The aircraft was able to depart again about 2.5 hours after first departure and reached Memphis with a delay of about 2:10 hours.
