A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLB performing flight PK-325 from Islamabad to Quetta (Pakistan) with 158 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Islamabad's runway 28L a bird impacted the aircraft. In the absence of abnormal indications the crew continued the climb to FL320. After levelling off at FL320 the crew decided to return to Islamabad observing an engine (CFM56) issue. The aircraft landed safely on Islamabad's runway 28L about 50 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration AP-BLZ reached Quetta with a delay of about 2.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 13 hours after landing back.
