A CAS Cetraca Aviation Service Let L-410, registration 9S-GPB performing a flight from Goma to Butembo (DR Congo) with 10 people on board, went off the runway on landing in Butembo at about 11:00L (09:00Z) and came to a stop with the right main gear collapsed as well as damage to the right hand horizontal stabilizer and right hand wing. A number of passengers received minor injuries, the aircraft was substantially damaged.

On Mar 18th 2024 The Aviation Herald received information from a pilot on the ground observing the accident, that it was very windy in Butembo at the time of the landing, the L410 was caught by strong gust and blown off the runway.
