While the aircraft was vacating via high speed exit onto taxiway M an airport operations vehicle reported the aircraft may have had a tail strike on landing. The runway was closed, the operations vehicle proceeded onto the runway for an inspection and confirmed there had been a tail strike, aircraft parts were on the runway.

First information suggests the aircraft received substantial damage including some collapsed floor inside the fuselage.

On Jan 27th 2013 the FAA reported the aircraft received substantial damage when it struck its tail onto the runway and rated the occurrence an accident.

Following 10 days of repairs in Denver the aircraft was ferried to Los Angeles,CA (USA) at a maximum altitude of 10,000 feet on Feb 4th 2013. The aircraft is still on the ground in Los Angeles for repairs (Standing Mar 30th 2013).

On Mar 30th 2013 the NTSB reported the aircraft received substantial damage to its tail when the aircraft struck its tail onto runway 17 (editorial note: the NTSB did not specify 17L or 17R). The aircraft taxied normally to the gate where the damage was discovered. The NTSB have opened an investigation into the accident.

After conducting test flights on Apr 27th (FX-9066) and Apr 28th 2013 (FX-9070) the aircraft is scheduled to resume service on Apr 30th 2013.
