A United Airbus A319-100, registration N895UA performing flight UA-2434 from Sarasota,FL to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was climbing out of Sarasota's runway 32 when the crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet reporting a door open indication. The crew subsequently advised they had no pressurization issues but still wanted to return to Sarasota, later changing to divert to Tampa,FL (USA) where the aircraft landed on runway 01L about 40 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Tampa for about 2 hours, then resumed the flight and reached Chicago with a delay of about 2 hours.
