A Jet2.com Boeing 737-800, registration G-JZHW performing flight LS-126 from Tenerife South,CI (Spain) to Glasgow,SC (UK), was climbing out of Tenerife's runway 07 when the crew stopped the climb at FL270 reporting a bird strike on departure. The aircraft burned off fuel and returned to Tenerife's runway 07 for a safe landing about 55 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration G-JZHR reached Glasgow with a delay of about 4 hours.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Tenerife for about 24 hours, then positioned to Manchester,EN (UK) and is currently still on the ground in Manchester about 18 hours after landing in Manchester.
