An Envoy Airlines Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N778RH performing flight AA-3808 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Westchester,NY (USA), was climbing out of Chicago when the crew, upon being handed off to Chicago Center, reported they had a flap/slat failure, stopped the climb at 15,000 feet and returned to Chicago for a safe landing on runway 10C at a rather normal speed about 100 minutes after departure.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-170 registration N874RW reached Westchester with a delay of about 4.5 hours.
