On Jan 19th 2024 Mexico's AIB reported the first officer was flying the approach, the instructor pilot takes command considering that the approach was high, resulting in the tail strike. Mexico's AIB rated the aircraft damage minor and rated the occurrence an incident.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Guadalajara standing Jan 19th 2024, 28 days after the tail strike.
