An Air France Airbus A350-900, registration F-HTYO performing flight AF-694 form Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Houston Intercontinental,TX (USA) with 337 people on board, was enroute at FL380 over the Atlantic Ocean about 80nm southeast of St. John's,NL (Canada) when the crew received a fault message for the DC electrical system accompanied by fault messages for a number of other systems. The crew consulted with dispatch and maintenance and decided to divert to New York JFK,NY (USA) where the aircraft landed safely about 3 hours later.

The Canadian TSB reported a faulty electrical network management unit was replaced.
