An American Airlines Boeing 787-8, registration N811AB performing flight AA-755 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Philadelphia,PA (USA), was climbing out of CDG's runway 09R when the aircraft received a bird strike prompting the crew to level off at 5000 feet. After working the checklists the crew decided to return to Paris, climbed the aircraft to FL100 to dump fuel and returned to Paris for a safe landing on runway 09R about 55 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Paris for about 2.5 hours after landing back, then departed again and reached Philadelphia with a delay of about 3:15 hours.

According to a flight information system the aircraft returned due to "natural causes" specified as a bird strike.
