An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-AKO performing flight AD-2737 from Aracaju,SE to Recife,PE (Brazil), landed on Recife's runway 18 when in the final stages the sink rate increased followed by an increase in pitch. The aircraft touched down its main gear with its tail contacting the runway surface at 09:45L (12:45Z), bounced, and touched down a second time rolling out.

The onward flight AD-2848 was cancelled.

The aircraft returned to service on Dec 21st 2023.

Brazil's CENIPA opened an investigation reporting the aircraft suffered an abnormal contact with the runway surface.
