An Eva Air Boeing 777-300, registration B-16726 performing flight BR-55 from Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) to Taipei (Taiwan), was enroute at FL300 about 280nm northnortheast of Winnipeg,MB (Canada) when the crew reported engine (GE90) trouble and decided to return to Chicago. The aircraft landed safely back in Chicago about 3.5 hours after departure.

A passenger reported the aircraft was over Western Ontario (Canada) (editorial note: in line with 280nm northnortheast of Winnipeg) when the aircraft began to violently shake. The crew announced they would be returning to Chicago without any further explanation. After landing back in Chicago they were rebooked onto other flights.
