A British Airways Airbus A320-200, registration G-EUUC performing flight BA-508 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Faro (Portugal), was enroute at FL350 over France about 170nm southwest of London when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The crew subsequently decided to return to London where the aircraft landed safely about 2 hours after departure.

A passenger reported the seat belt signs came on and the aircraft descended rapidly to 10,000 feet, the crew announced a problem with the air conditioning system (the passenger did not mention oxygen masks coming down).

According to information The Aviation Herald received the aircraft, that departed with a delay of about 1 hour, was dispatched under minimum equipment list requirements with the left engine's (V2527) bleed air system inoperative, then suffered the failure of the right hand bleed air system, too.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in London about 25 hours after landing back.
