A Porter Airlines Embraer ERJ-195-E2, registration C-GKQS performing flight PD-303 from Toronto,ON to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 126 passengers and 5 crew, was in the initial climb out of Toronto's runway 06L when the crew received a left hand inboard brakes overheat message on their EICAS. The crew worked the related checklist which cleared the message, however, the message re-appeared two more times followed by a landing gear temperature exceedance message. The crew requested to hold to burn off fuel and returned to Toronto for a safe landing on runway 05 about 2.5 hours after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced a faulty brake temperatur sensor.
