A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N398DA performing flight DL-1700 from Grand Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman) to Atlanta,GA (USA), was on approach to Atlanta's runway 27L when the crew initiated a go around at about 1800 feet MSL due to the flaps becoming locked. The aircraft climbed to 3000 feet while the crew worked the related checklists and landed safely on runway 27R about 25 minutes after the go around.

The aircraft returned to service about 19 hours after landing.
