A Silk Way Airlines Ilyushin IL-76, registration 4K-AZ102 performing flight ZP-4117 from Leipzig (Germany) to Gao (Mali), was climbing out of Leipzig's runway 26L when the crew stopped the climb at FL240 reporting a hydraulic failure. The aircraft subsequently descended to FL230 and entered a hold to burn off fuel and returned to Leipzig for a safe landing on runway 26L about 3.5 hours after departure.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Leipzig about 25 hours after landing back.
