The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft had been dispatched under minimum equipment list requirements with the left hand generator inoperative. Maintenance determined that an APU oil tank cap was leaking. The cap was replaced, the APU cleaned, serviced and tested before the aircraft was released to continue the flight.
The aircraft departed Goose Bay after 2 hours on the ground and reached Atlanta with a delay of 4 hours.
The Canadian TSB reported the number 1 generator was repaired after arrival in Atlanta.
