A Mel Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A on behalf of Iberia, registration 9H-NFU performing flight IB-8274 from Malaga,SP to Melilla,SP (Spain), was climbing out of Malaga's runway 13 when the crew declared emergency and stopped the climb at about 6600 feet reporting an electrical failure, they needed to return as soon as possible. Malaga Airport stopped all departures and arrivals while the aircraft positioned for a return to runway 31. The aircraft landed safely on runway 31 about 25 minutes after departure.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Malaga 3 days later.
