A KLM Cityhopper Embraer ERJ-195-E2, registration PH-NXB performing flight KL-1027 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to London,EN (UK), was climbing out of Amsterdam when ATC instructed the crew to stop the climb at FL230 and handed the aircraft off to London Control. The crew shortly afterwards turned around reporting they were not sure all doors were closed and returned to Amsterdam for a safe landing on runway 06 about 30 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled, the passenger were rebooked onto the next flights.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 20 hours before returning to service.
