Halifax's Fire Services reported an aircraft was inbound with smoke in the cabin (but not in the cockpit) and was holding. After landing all occupants de-planed safely.
On Feb 10th 2023 the Canadian TSB reported the crew reported smoke in the cabin and diverted to Halifax. In flight cabin crew discharged a halon fire extinguisher into seat row 10 seats D-F. An acrid smell, but no visible smoke was noticed around these seats. A number of passenger service units and ceiling panels in the area were removed and checked with no trace of heat, smoke or fire damage, all oxygen units were found in the green band and functional. The search was extended into the premium economy, too, without finding anything abnormal. The aircraft was returned to service.
