Indonesia's Ministry of Transport reported the aircraft veered right off runway 33 about 200 meters before the runway end and came to a stop on the grass with one main gear still blocking the runway. The aircraft was evacuated (editorial note: the word evacuate is probably to be taken as passengers disembarked via stairs as evident by pictorial evidence). The airport was closed for about 3 hours until the aircraft was moved off the runway. Indonesia's NTSC are investigating.
This runway excursion marks the 4th known runway excursion at Pontianak in 2012 alone, also see Incident: Lion B734 at Pontianak on Nov 1st 2012, overran runway on landing, Incident: Sriwijaya B734 at Pontianak on Oct 19th 2012, overran runway on landing and Accident: Sriwijaya B734 at Pontianak on Jun 1st 2012, runway excursion.
