An Akasa Air Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration VT-YAE performing flight QP-1103 from Mumbai to Bangalore (India), was climbing out of Mumbai's runway 27 when the crew stopped the climb at about 10,000 feet reporting they had received a bird strike and now had a strong odour in the cabin. The aircraft returned to Mumbai for a safe landing on runway 27 about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-8 MAX registration VT-YAB reached Bangalore with a delay of about 4.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service after about 14 hours on the ground.
