A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration AP-BID performing flight PK-266 from Karachi (Pakistan) to Dhaka (Bangladesh), suffered a bird strike while on approach to Dhaka. The crew, suspecting an engine (GE90) might have ingested the bird, continued for a safe landing at Dhaka slightly ahead of schedule.

An inspection revealed no damage to the aircraft as result of the bird strike. The aircraft was thus able to depart Dhaka for the return flight PK-267 and reached Karachi with a delay of 4.5 hours.
