A Donbassaero Airbus A320-200 on behalf of Aerosvit, registration UR-DAD performing flight VV-95 from Kiev to Donetsk (Ukraine), was in the initial climb when the crew did not receive gear uplocked indications following gear retraction. The crew worked the relevant checklists, the unsafe gear indications however continued. About 8 minutes after receiving the first unsafe indications the crew received a low green hydraulic pressure indication and low green hydraulic fluid quantity indication. The crew worked the relevant checklists and decided to return to Kiev for a safe landing with gear doors open.

Ukraine's Ministry of Transport reported a hydraulic leak was found at the left main gear strut due to damage to the hinges of the left left main gear door actuator. The quantity in the fluid reservoir had reduced to zero.
