A Norwegian Air Sweden Boeing 737-800, registration SE-RXA performing flight D8-4403 from Stockholm (Sweden) to Heraklion (Greece), departed Stockholm's runway 19R, climbed to FL350 and was enroute about 220nm south of Stockholm when the crew drifted the aircraft down to FL200 and decided to return to Stockholm. The aircraft was on approach to runway 19R descending through about 1500 feet when the crew initiated a go around, climbed to 5000 feet, positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 19R about 35 minutes after the go around and about 80 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported according to the crew a woodpecker decided to fly into an engine (CFM56) later prompting the return.
