A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-900, registration N822DN performing flight DL-515 from Atlanta,GA to Los Angeles,CA (USA) with 190 people on board, landed on Los Angeles' runway 24R but burst both its right hand main tyres on roll out. The aircraft became disabled on the runway, the crew advised the tyres burst near the end of the roll out, they may have hit something on the runway. The passengers disembarked onto the runway and were bussed to the terminal.

Runway 24L was temporarily closed while emergency services responded, runway 24R was closed until the aircraft could be moved off the runway a few hours later.

Passengers reported the touchdown was not hard, during rollout there was a loud bang and both right hand main tyres popped. Emergency services responded, maintenance arrived but couldn't fix the tyres right away. After waiting on board of the aircraft for about one hour they finally disembarked onto the runway.
