A Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800, registration VH-VOQ performing flgiht DJ-1368 from Melbourne,VI to Launceston,TA (Australia), was climbing out of Melbourne's runway 34 when the crew requested to return to Melbourne reporting a minor issue with the landing gear, approach and landing would be normal and no assistance was needed. The aircraft landed safely on runway 34 about 16 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration VH-VUU reached Launceston with a delay of 2.5 hours.
