The aircraft remained on the ground for about 6 hours, then departed Jacksonville to return to Montreal.
On Jul 7th 2022 the Canadian TSB reported the crew received an aft cargo smoke indication and diverted to Jacksonville. After landing emergency services found no trace of fire, the aircraft taxied to the apron where the passengers disembarked. The cargo hold was subsequently inspected resulting in no evidence of fire. As two halon bottles had been discharged the aircraft was released under MEL for a ferry flight back to Montreal for further investigation of the fire detection system.
