A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GIJZ performing flight QK-8350 from Prince George,BC to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 36 passengers and 4 crew, was in the initial climb out of Prince George's runway 15 when the crew selected the gear up but received the right hand engine hydraulic caution light followed by the indication of loss of all hydraulic fluid from the #2 system. The crew worked the related checklist, talked to maintenance and decided to return to Prince George. PAN PAN was declared, the crew performed an alternate gear extension and landed safely on runway 33 about 55 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported: "found the engine-driven pump (EDP) pressure line elbow at the No. 2 hydraulic manifold was cracked." The right hand engine driven pump was replaced, the EDP pressure line was repaired and a leak check found no faults.
