A Kalitta Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration N709CK performing flight K4-856 from Cincinnati,KY (USA) to Seoul (South Korea), departed Cincinnati's Covington Northern Kentucky Airport's runway 27 and climbed to FL300. Enroute at FL300 the crew reported they had no positive indication the landing gear was up and locked and were talking to dispatch and maintenance. The aircraft descended to FL250 and entered a hold, then the crew advised they had been advised to return to Cincinnati by their dispatch. The aircraft returned to Cincinnati for a safe landing on runway 27 about 2 hours after departure.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Cincinnati about 12 hours after landing back.
