A JAC Japan Air Commuter Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-600, registration JA04JC performing flight JL-2326 from Tajima to Osaka (Japan), was enroute at FL090 nearing the top of descent to Osaka when the aircraft experienced an upset causing an injury to a passenger. The aircraft continued for a landing on runway 32R without further incident.

On Apr 18th 2022 Japan's TSB reported the passenger received serious injuries (second lumbar compression fracture) when the aircraft experienced "shaking"). The JTSB opened an investigation.

On Jun 25th 2026 the JTSB released their final report in Japanese only (editorial note: an English version is to be expected in due time) concluding the probable cause of the accident was:

It is considered that the injury occurred because Passenger A had not fastened their seatbelt securely—leaving it loose—during the flight; consequently, when the aircraft experienced vertical turbulence, Passenger A’s body was lifted up and then fell back onto the seat, resulting in an impact.
