A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N689DL performing flight DL-760 from Salt Lake City,UT to Washington National,DC (USA) with 198 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 80nm north of Denver,CO (USA) when the first officer's windshield cracked prompting the crew to divert to Denver for a safe landing on runway 35R about 25 minutes after leaving FL370.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration N354DN departed Denver about 4:45 hours after N689DL had landed but needed to divert to Richmond,VA (USA). The aircraft subsequently completed the flight with a landing at Washington National with a delay of about 8 hours.
