The airline stated the aircraft sustained a bird strike into one of the engines which seriously affected the parameters of that engine. The aircraft returned to Port Harcourt, the passengers disembarked normally.
A blurred passenger video suggests the last letter of the registration is a K, the only aircraft registration ending in a K is 5N-BUK. 5N-BQU, which had flown the rotation the days before (if it wasn't served by an Embraer ERJ-195) performed other flights at that time. Neither P4-7158 nor P4-7159 left any footprint in the Mode-S data.
The passenger reported the engine emitted multiple bangs in quick succession.
