A Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Aviation Enterprise Yakovlev Yak-40, registration RA-87949 performing flight PTK-108 to Tilichiki to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Russia) with 26 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing through FL250 out of Tilichiki when the crew reported the failure of the right hand engine (AI25), the engine was shut down. The aircraft returned for a safe landing in Tilichiki.

Rosaviatsia reported the aircraft was enroute from Tilichiki to Petropavlosk when climbing through FL250 the right hand engine failed and was shut down. The aircraft returned to Tilichiki.
