An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZFB performing flight U2-6168 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Bristol,EN (UK), was climbing out of Amsterdam's runway 36L about 2 minutes into the flight when the aircraft was hit by lightning. The crew continued the flight to Bristol for a safe landing on runway 27 about 50 minutes later.

A passenger reported the lightning struck the right hand wing.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Bristol for the next 37 hours before resuming service.
