A Cargojet Airways Boeing 767-300, registration C-GUAJ performing flight W8-555 from Edmonton,AB to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 2 crew, was descending towards Vancouver when the crew received a "MAIN CARGO FIRE" indication, fire warnings and the fire bell. The crew advised ATC of a cargo fire warning, the warning had extinguished and requested priority as well as emergency services on stand by. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Vancouver, emergency services did not detect any trace of fire or smoke. The aircraft subsequently taxied to the apron with the fire services in trail.

The Canadian TSB reported there appeared some history to the fault and troubleshooting was ongoing. Maintenance discovered a short circuit in the wiring between loop 1 main and loop 2 main alarm.
