A private charter McDonnell Dougles MD-87, registration N987AK performing a charter flight from Houston,TX to Boston,MA (USA) with 18 passengers and 3 crew, experienced a runway excursion during takeoff and burst into flames shortly after. All people on board escaped without serious injury. The aircraft however, is a total loss.
The NTSB has started their investigation.
