A Rossiya Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 on behalf of Aeroflot, registration RA-89057 performing flight SU-6041 from Moscow Sheremetyevo to St. Petersburg (Russia), was accelerating for takeoff from runway 06C from intersection with taxiway 2 when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed due to the failure of the left hand engine (SaM146). The aircraft slowed safely, vacated the runway via taxiway 3 about 800 meters down the runway (from taxiway 2) and returned to the apron.

A replacement SU95 registration RA-89114 reached St. Petersburg with a delay of 110 minutes.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 22 hours after the rejected takeoff.
