A Korean Air Cargo Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration HL7601 performing flight KE-351 from Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) to Bangkok (Thailand), was climbing out of Ho Chi Minh's runway 25L when the crew could not retract the landing gear. The aircraft stopped the climb at 5000 feet and returned to Ho Chi Minh City for a safe landing on runway 25L about 20 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Ho Chi Minh City for 25.5 hours, then departed for the flight to Bangkok.
