Colombia's GRIAA reported the aircraft touched down hard in thunderstorms and heavy rain, the crew lost control of the aircraft, which subsequently exited the runway to the right before the crew was able to return it onto the runway. Theere were no injuries and no damage, the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated.
According to the schedule the flight is estimated to depart El Yopal at 16:05L (21:05Z) and land in Bogota at 16:49L (21:49Z). On the day of occurrence the flight was not visible on any Mode-S receiver.
