An ABS Jets Embraer ERJ-135, registration OK-SYN performing flight ABP-811 from Tenerife South,CI (Spain) to Kunovice (Czech Republic), was enroute at FL360 over the Atlantic Ocean about the exit the control zone of Tenerife about 150nm northeast of Tenerife South Airport, when the captain's primary flight display (PFD1), navigation display (ND1) as well as the EICAS screens failed and went blank, at the same time the autopilot disconnected. The first officer took control of the aircraft, his instruments continued to operate normally. The crew worked the related checklists to restore the functionality of the displays, however, the autopilot remained inoperative. The crew advised ATC they were no longer compliant with RVSM requirements and descended the aircraft at FL280. Once level at FL280 the autopilot could be engaged again, the crew advised ATC and climbed back to FL360, later further stepclimbing to FL380. Enroute in Swiss Airspace the failure occurred again and the crew was able again to regain all systems including the autopilot after a descent to FL280. Although all systems became functional again, the crew elected to remain on FL280 and continued to Kunovice for a safe landing without further incident about 5 hours after departure.

Czechia's UZPLN reported on Apr 28th 2021 that the Integrated Avionics Computer IC600 #1, which also powers the displays and the autopilot, was determined faulty and was replaced. IC600 #2 had remained functional throughout the flight. Ground tests of the unit #1 confirmed a malfucntion. When the failure occurred over Switzerland again, the crew informed their dispatch, the fuel consumption was recalculated and determined there was sufficient fuel on board to continue to destination.
