A S7 Sibir Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration VQ-BQK performing flight S7-2513 (dep Mar 12th) from Moscow Domodedovo to Novosibirsk (Russia) with 197 passengers and 7 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 80nm southeast of Tyumen (Russia) when the right hand engine (CFM56) failed and needed to be shut down. The aircraft turned around, drifted down and diverted to Tyumen for a safe landing on runway 21 about 25 minutes after leaving FL350.

A replacement Airbus A321-200N registration VQ-BGR continued the flight about 6 hours after landing of VQ-BQK and reached Novosibirsk with a delay of 6:10 hours.

Ural's Investigative Department of Transport is looking into the circumstances of the flight.
