A Victory Air Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of Nascar, registration N15VA performing a charter flight from Statesville,NC to Tulsa,OK (USA) with 46 people on board, was climbing out of Statesville's runway 28 when the crew stopped the climb at about 11000 feet when the crew reported the loss of oil pressure from one of the engines (Ae3007), proceeded to shut the engine down and returned to Statesville for a safe landing on runway 28 about 25 minutes after departure.

Statesville Airport's Emergency Services reported they were alerted about 16 minutes prior to landing and dispatched a full complement of emergency services including fire, rescue, EMS and Law Enforcement. The aircraft landed safely and was escorted to the terminal, where passengers and crew disembarked normally.
