A Delta Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N103DY performing flight DL-1497 from Atlanta,GA to Sarasota,FL (USA), was on approach to Sarasota's runway 32 when the aircraft received a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 32.

The FAA reported the aircraft received minor damage as result of the bird strike.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours, then returned to service.
