A Gol Transportes Aereos Boeing 737-800, registration PR-GUF performing flight G3-2278 from Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont,RJ to Belo Horizonte,MG (Brazil) with 120 passengers and 6 crew, had just levelled off at cruise FL310 when the crew observed a hydraulic leak and decided to turn around and divert to Rio de Janeiro's Galeao Airport. The aircraft landed safely on Galeao's runway 15 about 60 minutes after departure.

Brazil's CENIPA rated the occurrence an incident and did not open an investigation.
