An Air Canada Airbus A319-100, registration C-GAQZ performing flight AC-169 from Toronto,ON to Vancouver,BC (Canada) with 125 people on board, was on approach to Vancouver when the captain became incapacitated and transferred control to the first officer, who continued the approach and landed the aircraft safely on Vancouver's runway 26R, the crew using routine communication throughout the occurrence. After landing the captain improved sufficiently to taxi the aircraft to the apron.

The Canadian TSB reported the captain became temporarily incapacitated due to illness and transferred control to the first officer. After landing the captain's condition improved and he was able to taxi the aircraft to the gate.
