A post flight inspection revealed one of the tyres had received cuts.
India's DGCA opened an investigation into the occurrence, both flight crew were suspended pending the investigation.
The airline reported the return flight SG-961 was delayed due to operational reasons.
Passengers waiting for the return flight SG-961 reported they were told no captain was available for the flight and needed to be flown in from Delhi.
The occurrence aircraft departed for the return flight SG-961 after about 10.5 hours on the ground with a delay of 9:45 hours.
