A Delta Airlines Airbus A330-900N, registration N406DX performing flight DL-166 from Tokyo Haneda (Japan) to Seattle,WA (USA) with 97 people on board, was enroute at FL390 about 650nm eastnortheast of Tokyo when the crew decided to return to Tokyo due to a hydraulic failure associated with an engine (Trent 7000). The aircraft descended to FL180 for the return and landed safely back at Tokyo Haneda's runway 34R about 3.5 hours after departure.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Tokyo about 50 hours after landing back.
