An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777-200 freighter, registration ET-AVT performing flight ET-3911 from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) to Lagos (Nigeria), was on approach to Lagos when the aircraft received a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Lagos' runway 18R.

A post flight inspection revealed damage to one of the wings.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Lagos for about 17 hours, then returned to service.
