A Pinnacle Airlines Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N8505Q performing flight 9E-4285/DL-4285 from Minneapolis,MN (USA) to Toronto,ON (Canada), was enroute when the crew received a caution indication for hydraulic pump 3a. The relevant checklists were carried out and the crew continued the flight to Toronto with hydraulic pressure remaining normal and hydraulic fluid quantity indicated at 55%. On final approach to Toronto's runway 05 upon selecting the gear down the crew received a hydraulic pump 3b caution immediately followed by a hydraulic system #3 low pressure and gear disagree message with the left main gear indication unsafe and the right main gear remaining up. The crew went around, actioned the relevant checklists including a manual gear extension, which resulted in three greens, and landed safely on runway 33R about 30 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The Canadian TSB reported the aircraft was towed to the apron due to the loss of nose wheel steering. Maintenance found a leaking seal in the right rear acoustic reducer and a leak in the pump 3a hydraulic pressure line. The acoustic reducer and the leaking hydraulic line were replaced.
